The '''trade ratio''' can also be found in the context menu (in this case: 1.09). It indicates the ratio that the village is prepared to trade at. For example, '''1.00''' shows that a village will trade in a ratio of 1:1.

If the farming villages on your island cannot present you with a desirable offer you can opt to trade with other players.
===Offers by Others===
Offers from other players can be viewed in the Market place menu. You can set the filtering options on the left side of the menu to search for suitable offers.
The ratio for an offer displayed in the market has the inverse meaning when compared to the offer ratio displayed at an NPC farming village.

* The '''higher''' the offer ratio at a '''farming village''' the better that trade is to you.
To accept an offer move its slider to show how many resources you would like to trade in the offer's ratio and click the green check mark at the far right of the screen.
===Create Offer===
Creating an offer requires your Market place to be expanded to Level 5. However, if you want to send resources to villages on other islands, you have to expand your Market to level 10. To begin select the Create Offer tab in the Market place. Select the number and type of resources you wish to offer and receive, then set the maximum delivery time (in hours). Once you are done press Create. Other players can then accept your offer in full, but also have the option to trade less than the full amount in the ratio you originally proposed. There is a maximum ratio of 10:1 when creating offers.

The Market Place enables you to trade your 3 resources, Stone, Wood and Silver. As each island is naturally plentiful of one resource and lacking in another, trading becomes important to obtain all resources necessary for your city's growth.

Trade with farming villages

Market1.png

In order to balance the uneven production of the three raw materials, it is important to trade excess resources with farming villages.

Prerequisites

In order to trade your city must have a Market Place. For this, you must have a level 3 Senate and a level 5 Warehouse.

The farming village you wish to trade with must have a mood of at least 80%, so it is advisable to trade with a farming village before you loot the village.

Ratios

Once you have found a farming village that is prepared to trade with you, click on it and then click on the TradeButton.png to open the Trade window. Once open you see a window like the one bellow. You can see that this particular village is willing to trade Wood (Wood.png) for Silver (Silver.png).

Trading Overview

The trade ratio

In the center you see the ratio at which they want to trade, in this case it is 1.25.

In our example above the trade ratio is 1:1.25, so:

 • For every Wood.png 100 Wood you send, you get Silver.png 125 Silver back.

Farming villages only hold 2000 resources for trade at any given time, regardless of the level of your Market place.

Note: The minimum recources that can be traded are 100.

Actions

To start trading with the village, use the slider to select how many resources you wish to send and click 'Trade'. You can see here how many resources you will receive in return as well as the time taken for the resources to arrive at your city. (note that your resources leave your city instantly).

 • When the farming village's merchants arrive you receive a report detailing the trade. However, you have the choice either to stop receiving the trade reports, or to turn off the notification feature. You can simply do that by selecting the Reports option -> Filter.
 • Trading with farming villages influence neither the mood nor the strength.
 • After the trade, the trade ratio falls by 0.03 points per 100 delivered resources.
 • Irrespective of the mood or strength of the farming village, the trade ratio will rise by 0.02 points per hour until it reaches 1.25 once more.
