Version 2.153

Grepolis was updated to 2.153 on December 13th, 2017

Summary

  • The Bandit Camp screen has been reworked to provide more information and learnings, especially for new players.
  • With version 2.153 being the last update of the year, some preparations for the next year were made already, albeit not being visible yet.

Changes & Improvements

  • The Bandit Camp overview has been reworked to provide more information, especially targeted towards new players.
  • Defending units within the bandit camp are now displayed in more detail, showing their defensive values at a glance.
  • When hovering over defending units within the bandit camp, the best possible attackers against the respective unit type is highlighted in the list of player units.
  • When hovering player units, the corresponding defensive value of the defending units is highlighted to show the relevant battle parameters.
  • The reward preview now also contains the battle points earned when defeating the respective stage.
  • From stage 10 onward, travel times to the bandit camp are displayed below the owned units.

Bugfixes

  • Offers - If several offers are active at the same time, under certain circumstances only one of them could be shown at the bottom right. At the same time, several offer windows could be shown at the same time although only one should be active at a time.
  • Pandora's Box - Under certain circumstances and with connection hiccups, it was possible to start a mission twice. The second mission was aborted instantly, but units were not reimbursed. This cannot happen anymore.
  • Offer icons - Timer of special offers and offer glow were detached from icon. We reunited them.

Version 2.152

Grepolis was updated to 2.152 on November 26th, 2017

Summary

  • Tyche's Calendar is getting a balancing update taking recent feedback about powerful rewards into consideration.
  • Changes to the user interface and in-game text target the understanding of Ritual effects and usability of spells from the original user interface.
  • To prevent potential undesirable clever use of game mechanics, beginners protection and non-attackable bans have been reworked. *Beginner's protection is deactivated after engaging in PvP action and non-attackable bans show no effect on World Wonder islands.
  • Furthermore we fixed some potential issues with our e-mail validation process and a lot of bugs

Changes & Improvements

  • Functionality of Tyche's Advent Calendar has been adjusted to balance the chance of getting specific items in accordance to their value.
    • Every wheel contains 6 specific items that can be selected by spinning the wheel.
    • Each item has a certain value, from regular to rare to very powerful. The chances of getting these items now scale with this value, giving more powerful items less of a chance of being obtained than regular ones.
    • These chances are highlighted through the background color of the respective item on the wheel. The brighter the glow, the smaller the chances of getting the respective item on the first spin.
    • After recent feedback, we came to the conclusion that powerful items should remain special and rare, thus they shouldn't have exactly the same chance of getting selected as other, less powerful items. This should also have a positive impact on the overall balancing of the game during the event.
  • The spells menu is now expanded to the right instead of overlapping crucial interface elements below the display for the currently selected God.
    • Previously, the spell menu would hide the hero selection, battle point and coin statistics and current unit count in the selected city in favor of displaying the spell menu.
    • Following our player's feedback, we have now moved the menu to the side, enabling all of these elements to be shown simultaneously.
  • Beginner's Protection has been reworked to be cancelled as soon as offensive action is taken in PvP context.
    • We aim to maintain a solid protection at the beginning of new worlds and for new players but at the same time aspire for Beginner's Protection to become a less effective tool for veterans restarting on a game world.
    • As soon as either of the following actions are taken, players under Beginner's Protection will get a warning that they are about to lose their protection, asking them to confirm this before they can proceed:
      • Attacking another player
      • Spying on another player
      • Sending a colony ship to another player's town
      • Sending a colony ship to a ghost town
      • Using any of the following spells: Lightning Bolt, Zeus' Rage, Earthquake, Sea Storm, Plague
    • As soon as Beginner's Protection is forfeited by using any of these actions, it cannot be regained unless players restart on the same game world.
  • Following recent changes to vacation mode and morale, non-attackable bans will not have any effects on cities on world wonder islands, seeing as they could lead to blocking situations on the respective island.
  • The descriptions of Ritual effects have been rephrased again, to make it clearer that the respective spells must be cast by the player activating the effect.

Bugfixes

  • Siege - After destroying a colony ship and subsequently breaking a siege, the window warning you that your city is being conquered didn't always disappear.
  • Barracks - The tooltip displayed while hovering the cancellation button for unit recruitment had a line break splitting reimbursement values into two lines.
  • Farming Villages - Disclaimer banner informing about speicifc level requirements could not be displayed properly if text length required 3 lines. Text was cut.
  • Population reference - Tooltips displaying the required population from a Reinforcement bonus effect did not take Democritus' ability to double the effect duration and thus population into consideration.
  • Daily Login Bonus - Fixed an issue causing the login bonus to reset after switching time to Daylight Saving.
  • Island Quests - Expiration times and timers for awaiting decisions did not update properly.
  • World Wonders - Under certain conditions, it was possible that a wonder did not lose a level when one of the cities would turn into a ghost town.
  • Luxury Residence - After switching to daylight saving time, luxury residence did not update the timing properly, causing the effect to be applied at 23:00. Unfortunately the fix will only work for bonuses enabled after version 2.152. Players with Luxury Residence duration activated before this update will have to have the heroes ready by 23:00 until the effect runs out and is re-applied at a later point in time.
  • Notifications - When opening the spell menu, notifications were displayed too far to the left, obstructing the view on other game elements.
  • Conquests - Some conquest reports went missing once the conquest was ending, lacking to inform the conquering player.
  • City List - With the Administrator active, the city list sometimes could not be opened due to a general error.
  • Alliance Profile - Under certain circumstances, member lists and profile texts would not get loaded properly.
  • Map - Some states were not updated properly on the world map, causing e.g. beginner's protection to still be displayed even after the map should have been updated.
  • Daily Login Bonus - A general error could lead to the daily login bonus button not responding properly.
  • Command list - Scroll bar caused the cancel button to cover town names and movement times.

Important Information

  • We have worked the way our e-mail validation system works to provide more security for accounts and prevent search engines from indexing validation links if they were ever posted online.
    • Validation links can only be used once. Every subsequent use will result in an error.
    • Validation links now expire after 7 days if they have not been used. Please remove any bookmarks using these links.
    • Validation links posted on external websites will no longer be indexed by search engines.
  • IMPORTANT: In case you ever posted your validation link somewhere on the internet, please change your password immediately and pay special attention to any e-mails received informing you about changes to your account. Should you find irregularities, contact us immediately for further assistance.

Version 2.151

Grepolis was updated to 2.151 on November 15th, 2017

Summary

  • This version was again focused on the refactoring of the command overview and fixing some bugs within this feature.
  • At the same time we improved resource data shown in the farming village overview and implemented population references for units to improve planning of recruitment and effect usage.

Changes & Improvements

  • Resource projections in the farming village overview now display proper values for each of the timing options.
    • Instead of showing "+0" while the resource collection is still on cooldown, the available resources for the next collection is now displayed upon selecting any of the checkboxes.
    • This should enable some better planning for future resource claims.
  • Population references for units were added, in order to provide more information about each unit type.
    • On unit tooltips you can see how much population each unit type requires while hovering over them.
    • The population reference was also added to the description of any items in the inventory that grant units, e.g. Unit Reinforcement effects.
  • The way beginner's protection handles the arrival of colony ships was adjusted.
    • Colony ships that have already been sent before the a new town owner with beginner's protection claimed a city will now only visit.

Bugfixes

  • Settings - Select pages of the settings menu were refusing to show all information on some new accounts that did not yet fulfill the requirements to take part in in-game events (Incantation Circle).
  • Quest Log - After finishing the quest "Money makes the world go round", an error could occur, causing the quest log to stay empty.
  • Quest Log - On one of our beta servers, Island Quests took a break and refused to be shown in the quest log. We taught them proper work morale and they're back on track.
  • Command overview - The mouseover information of the command menu would sometimes remain shown, even when the mouse was already moved away and performing other actions. No one likes sticky tooltips. Fixed.
  • Command overview - Some wrong icons were shown. Illusion appeared as a normal attack to attackers and purely naval combat was not reflected properly.
  • Notifications - Town names with special characters would sometimes cause an error in display.
  • Pandora's Box - After daylight saving time switch, the daily ranking was not properly reset at 8pm, causing ranking data to be incorrect.

Version 2.150

Grepolis was updated to 2.150 on November 1st, 2017

Summary

  • The implementation of the new event Pandora's Box was finished and beta testing started on our beta worlds.
  • At the same time, we implemented a new unit icon for transport ships, explaining how they work and kept working on the code rework for the command overview.
  • Additionally, diminishing returns have been activated for all worlds starting after October 25th. For these worlds, morale is dependent on the amount of cities in player's possession.

Changes & Improvements

  • The implementation of our brand new event, "Pandora's Box", has been finished.
    • Soon you will be able to help the priests fend off the dangers of the evil spirits that once lay within Pandora's Box, capture the spirits and be rewarded for your sacrifices.
  • Please visit our wiki page for a detailed documentation about the event.
  • A new unit icon has been added for transport ships, to describe the very specific role they play in battle.

Bugfixes

  • Events and offers - Under certain conditions, if more than one special button was available at the bottom of the screen, one or more could not be shown, with the timer having been replaced at random for either one of them. We have sent all buttons back to duty.
  • Incantation circle - Fixed an issue with Advisors not being credited for reaching 25 incantations and follow-up errors in case of the rare case of a gold balance becoming negative.
  • Effects - Usage of "Favor of the gods" resulted in an internal error.
  • Revolts - Revolts would sometimes not get cleared after the time has passed. The game has been tasked to clean after itself.
  • Pandora's Box - Mission report for mission capturing 7th spirit is shown (again) after opening a new box if the report was not confirmed previously.
  • Pandora's Box - When using some of the reward items from the new event, Pandora's Box, an internal error could occur.
  • Pandora's Box - Mission screen did not update after successfully finishing a mission, time remained at 00:00:00.
  • Pandora's Box - An internal indicator for successful missions was displayed as confirmation on top of the mission report. "True" is no longer displayed.
  • Pandora's Box - Fixed several issues that appeared on Firefox exclusively, e.g. notifications (exclamation mark) for new updates in the event not being shown.
  • Pandora's Box - Attempting to skip the cooldown for closing boxes while not having enough gold resulted in an endless loading screen.
  • Pandora's Box - Free rituals to shorten mission durations were wrongfully granted at midnight. While the costs reset, the cooldown will not.
  • Pandora's Box - It is no longer possible to finish more than 7 missions without subsequently closing a box. This will also prevent honor point spikes in the ranking.
  • Pandora's Box - A blank screen could occur after opening a new box. The window is now properly filled with information.
  • Pandora's Box - Corrected a rounding error that would result in 57% base chance +30% unit bonus to result in 88% chance at success being displayed.

Important Information

  • Reminder: All new game worlds opened after October 25th will see the following adjustments to morale:
    • The minimum possible morale (maximum possible attack power reduction of the attacker) is adjusted based on the amount of cities in posession of the defender. Diminishing returns apply:
      • 1 city - minimum possible morale 30% (70% reduction of attack power)
      • 2 cities - minimum possible morale 35% (65% reduction of attack power)
      • 3 cities - minimum possible morale 40% (60% reduction of attack power)
      • ...
      • 10 cities - minimum possible morale 75% (25% reduction of attack power)
    • From 11 cities onward, the minimum possible amount of morale is capped at 80%, meaning that any attacker's offensive power is only ever lowered by 20% if they are significantly stronger.

Version 2.149

Grepolis was updated to 2.149 on October 18, 2017

Summary

  • Additional improvements for the early game phase have been implemented, some technical adjustments for IPv6 were made and the code refactoring for the command overview was continued. The latter will be an ongoing topic in the following weeks to come.
  • Furthermore, automatic deletion processes were improved and bugs were fixed.

Changes & Improvements

  • The following additional improvements have been implemented for the tutorial and early game phase:
    • Quest log - Scrollbars in the quest log are now hidden if they are not needed due to only having a small amount of quests.
    • Quest log - The island quest subsection of the quest log is hidden in the early tutorial phase, up until island quests are unlocked.
    • Bandit Camp - The tooltip displayed while hovering the bandit camp on the island view while an attack movement is in place was adjusted to use more concise wording (e.g. replaced "Movements icon in the UI" with "Troop Movements icon in the top-left corner of the screen").
    • Quests - The order of quests being shown in the quest log has been rearranged. Quests are now sorted by character giving the quest, with e.g. building quests appearing higher up in the list than the Bandit Camp quests, for instance.
  • Deletion processes for inactive accounts have been improved. After restarting and subsequently having a low amount of points, accounts will no longer get deleted while advisors are still active.

Bugfixes

  • Quest - The quest "Terror of the seas" displayed a misleading icon next to the objective description, suggesting that Biremes are required to loot cities on foreign islands. Icon was replaced.
  • Island Quests - The automatic city selection for island quests could be rendered non-functional for some islands after collapsing the "no group" section in the city list.
  • Bonuses - When combining Hera's Wedding spell with "Wedding of the Aristocrats" while not having enough storage capacity for all resources, wrong resource amounts were shown in the prompt to confirm resource loss.
  • World wonders - Description text was misleading. The era of world wonders can only be reached if 6 months have passed and the required points are reached. The text now properly reflects both conditions.
  • Quickbar - Under certain conditions, custom sub-menu entries could not be displayed properly in the quickbar.
  • Incantation Circle - In case the first city in alphabetical order was besieged, Witch's Wisdom did not have any effect until the siege was over. We now improved the Witch's literacy to ensure that all offerings are doubled properly.
  • Javascript error - Fixed an error that could occur after founding a new city and subsequently hovering any farming village on that same island before the game recognized this new city.

Important Information

  • Please be aware that Ritual effects have been reworked previously, with version 2.148. The following information was unfortunately missing in the changelog:
    • All ritual spells had the target city changed from one specific city to all player cities to avoid inconveniences in case a wrong city was selected while casting the respective spell.
    • Texts for all rituals were adjusted in order to explain their functionality as well as the details of the effect

Version 2.148

Grepolis was updated to 2.148 on October 4, 2017

Summary

  • The main focus of this update lies in improvements to readability and understanding of the game. We have worked on several tutorial improvements, exchanged icons and replaced confusing texts. This also includes a change to icons for unit abilities which several players reported as hard to read.
  • Additionally we laid the groundwork for morale changes which have recently been announced and discussed on our DevBlog.

Changes & Improvements

  • In order to improve the tutorial and early game phase, the following adjustments have been made:
    • A new cooldown indicator in the farming village overview gives additional information about the collection being on cooldown.

    • Text adjustments have been made in various places to make displays more understandable:
      • Within farming village menus and farming village overview the texts indicating that collections are on cooldown have been adjusted ("Cooldown time ___" to "Next collection in ___").
      • In the farming village overview, the text showing the individual cooldown for new demands for each individual city was changed from "New resources" to "Next collection"
      • In one of the tutorial texts, Helen mentioned that she would ask Socrates to help players build their first city. Socrates is never mentioned again, hence any reference to him was removed.
    • A tooltip was added to the button to build a new farming village, explaining what benefits this farming village will give.
    • Adjusted the objective of the tutorial quest "Defeat the bandits" to not only include the defeat of the camp but also the reward collection, making sure that players collect their well-earned rewards after their victory.
    • Tutorial arrows were improved. They should now give more clear instructions, move slightly faster and more smoothly and not completely overlap any important UI elements or texts any longer.
  • Several icons have been replaced for better comprehension and readability for colorblind
    • Icons for defensive unit abilities have seen a color change as well as increased contrast between all elements.
    • The quest log icon has received a more distinct background color for additional contrast.
  • The morale system has been reworked to fix some inherent weaknesses in the system and return it to its original purpose of protecting weaker players rather than offering a powerful trade-off of progression and points for additional protection.
    • The following change applies to all game worlds:
      • Morale no longer has any effect on cities placed on islands with active world wonders.
      • All new game worlds opened after version 2.150 will see the following adjustments to morale:

Bugfixes

  • Travel time simulator - Fixed a technical issue that would cause a multitude of requests to the server being triggered at the same time.
  • Messages - Under certain conditions the unread counter could get stuck after using "mark all read", causing unread messages to be shown although there were none.
  • Reports - Reports regarding attacks on Bandit Camps had no town information shown for the Bandits. Instead we are now displaying "Bandits" as username and "Bandit's camp" as city name for more consistency.
  • Militia - For some language versions, militia still displayed an attack value of 2 despite having been taught that they're not meant to engage in offensive action. They're now compliant.

Version 2.147

Grepolis was updated to 2.147 on September 20, 2017

Summary

  • In version 2.147 we put our focus on the implementation of technical requirements and preparations for upcoming evens. Unfortunately most of these changes are not visible yet and will only become apparent in the upcoming weeks.
  • Additionally our developers spent some time improving the tools our supporters use to help them provide you with an even better service when dealing with event related issues.
  • As always, we also tackled some bugs.

Changes & Improvements

  • Militia - Militia had an attack value of 2 displayed although militia cannot act offensively. The value has been changed to 0 to not give new players any ideas. ;)
  • After some code improvements, the Fall Event has finally received a proper name, which is more adequate for the occasion: Incantation Circle.

Bugfixes

  • Barracks - While recruiting mythical units, the tooltip on the cancel button, which informs about the amount of resources that will be reimbursed upon cancellation, showed wrong favor values. This did not impact the amount of favor that was reimbursed upon performing the action.
  • Grepolympia - Information about the event starting was not loading properly under certain circumstances, leaving the window content fully transparent.
  • Information screens - Informative (popup) windows for events and in-game offers sometimes had scroll bars displayed even though the text fit the window nicely. Scroll bars are now again hidden unless the text extends the designated area.
  • Incantation Circle - The glow effect for the event button at the bottom right of the screen was slightly misplaced.

Version 2.146

Grepolis was updated to 2.146 on September 6, 2017

Summary

  • This time around we have a small update for you as most of the sprint work happened in the background (technical improvements and preparations).
  • Following a community suggestion, we made the travel time simulator available for city foundations.

Changes & Improvements

  • The travel time simulator is now also available for city foundations
    • While preparing for the foundation of a new city, you can now access the travel time simulator that is already known from the attack preparation screen.
    • The button is available from both the requirements and the preparation screen to make the planning easier even if you don't meet the requirements for a foundation just yet.

Bugfixes

  • Quests - The quest "Procedure" has several possible objectives to fulfil, but only one of them is required to be fulfilled. However, it was possible to have two of them marked as done at the same time. Quest conditions were fixed and the quest is now marked as done and no longer updated as soon as one of the objectives is fulfilled.
  • Reservation - After a reservation timed out, the icon was still displayed for a while after, causing discrepancies between the reservation list and the map view. This should no longer happen.

Version 2.145

Grepolis was updated to 2.145 on August 23rd, 2017

Summary

  • We're currently working on several technical improvements, e.g. in regards to full IPv6 functionality and taking preparations for the next in-game events, hence the number of visible changes in this version is relatively small.
  • Per popular community request, we have now added a button that will make sending units back from the agora a lot easier. Additionally we are already looking into potentially expanding this functionality after recent beta feedback, with another button for the support view of cities on the world map.
  • At the same time we are activating the colonization improvements that have been tested on beta and select live markets 2 months after seeing good results in regards to fewer players losing all of their cities in early game phases.

Changes & Improvements

  • A new button was added to the Agora, making it a lot easier to return supporting units to and from a selected city.
    • In each city's agora, the new button "Return all units" is now displayed in the "Defense" and "Outside" tabs.
    • When used in the "Defense" tab, this button will send back all listed external units to their owners' cities.
    • If used from within the "Outside" tab, the button will return all units that have been sent out from the respective city to support other players.
  • The requirements for colonization were lowered to improve survival rates in early game stages. After initial testing, the following changes now finally become available globally:
    • The research "Colony Ship" was moved from academy level 22 to 13.
    • Required harbor level for colony ships was lowered to level 10 instead of level 20.
    • Tutorial quests and their rewards were adjusted in accordance to these changes. This should enable new players to build a colony ship soon after getting the respective quest.

Bugfixes

  • World Wonders - The world wonder donation progress could be reset twice if a city was taken by a player outside the alliance and then subsequently turned into a ghost town upon their voluntary restart. From now on this reset of donations will only happen if a player of the wonder owning alliance decides to restart.
  • Unit Reinforcements - Warnings about insufficient population were not triggered properly if unit reinforcements for units requiring more than 1 population (e.g. horsemen, chariots) were used.
  • Island view - The city foundation icon was not displayed on the target city spot while night mode was active. We have recovered the graphic and it's now shown properly.
  • City Foundation - The tooltip displayed in the command overview showed a fixed arrival time instead of the actual remaining time.
  • - Sparta vs. Hades - Upon defeat on the final mission of the event, Medea's image was missing in the reward list.
  • Found on beta, might not have occurred on live worlds.

Version 2.144

Grepolis was updated to 2.144 on August 9th, 2017.

Summary

  • This version contains two suggestions from the community and some bug fixes.
    • After recent feedback from our players, we decided to offer a dropdown list on the quest log that will let you select any eligible city for an island quest easily.
    • Additionally we prepared a button to simply swap the setup of attacker and defender in the combat simulator.

Changes & Improvements

  • It is now possible to switch configurations easily in the attack simulator.

The new button "swap troops" has been added to swap entered unit numbers with one click of a button. This will exchange the configuration of the attacker for the defender and vice versa. Swaptroops.png

  • The city selection within the detailed view for island quests on the quest log has been improved.
    • On the quest log you can now simply use the city button to move to any eligible city.
    • If there is only one eligible city, it will be selected and you can proceed directly in the quest log.
    • Should there be several eligible cities for the selected island quests, you can use a dropdown menu.

Islandquest dropdown.png

Bugfixes

  • Scroll bars - In windows with a lot of content, scrolling could sometimes skip a couple lines of content. We've taught all scroll bars to be in less of a hurry.
  • World wonders - Under certain circumstances it was possible to build a wonder on small islands, rendering it non-functional. This is no longer the case.
  • Inbox - Unread counter sometimes wasn't updated correctly when using the "Mark all as read" functionality in inbox folders.
  • City foundation - The transport capacity did not update properly as soon as transport ships were selected in the preparation screen.
  • Sparta vs. Hades - Removed wrongfully displayed scroll bars from the event opening screen.
  • Sparta vs. Hades - Indicator for recently earned event units did not update properly upon opening the event window.
  • Quest log - Missing icons for quests like "Enter your name" and "Register with your email address" were tracked down and put back in their rightful place.

Version 2.143

Grepolis was updated to 2.143 on July 26, 2017.

Summary

  • With this version we focused a lot on quality of life changes for all our players, by providing a button to mark all reports and messages read, enabling the change of color assignments even after the target was deleted and by improving the way texts are handled in case translations turn out to be too long.
  • Furthermore we improved Grepolisscore graphics and squashed several bugs.

Changes & Improvements

  • A new button was added to mark all messages and reports as read.
    • Selecting all messages in each view and marking them as read was possible before - however, it was quite a hassle to select every single message or report in folders containing a lot of messages.
    • This new button marks all unread messages or reports in the respective section as read with just one click of a button.

Markallread.png

  • The icon for current events in the Grepolisscore overview was adjusted to match the style of other category icons.
    • Laurels were added for consistency.

Greposcoreicon.png

  • Texts in information widows (pop-ups for events and offers) become scrollable in case translations exceed space limitations. While this shouldn't help too often, this fallback solution will prevent text being cut off and information getting lost.
  • Color assignments for targets that no longer exist (deleted players) can now be adjusted even if they are no longer present on the world map.
  • A new hero was added to the game - Medea.
    • Medea is a new exclusive hero that becomes available with the next in-game event.
    • Effect: Slingers have 16% (+1% per level) increased offensive and defensive values while fighting at Medea's side.
    • Cost: 40 Coins of War (after losing exclusive status)

Bugfixes

  • Barracks - Fixed a display error that could occur when changing Gods during active recruitment of Divine Envoys. All slots will now be cleared as expected.
  • Barracks/Harbor - Moving Aristotle (or other heroes affecting unit recruitment) out of your city before cancelling unit recruitment no longer results in the wrong amount of resources to be refunded.
  • Friend invite - No more messages to collect friend invite gold are being sent if the limit of 10 players has already been reached. All rewards need to have been accepted for this limitation to be in place.
  • Quest log - Remaining time until next island quest could not be displayed if more than 6 tutorial quests were open (2nd iteration).
  • Grepolisscore - Clicking on the notification for select awards did not open the Grepolisscore screen. It should now take you directly to the respective award section again.
  • Tutorial Quests - Conflicting quests for colonization were shown, given that both the old and new tutorial quests were active at the same time.
  • City Foundation Screen - Starting a city foundation from towns in which gods with 2 mythical land units are worshipped could break the unit selection layout. Units now all appear in their respective lines (re-appeared on beta).

Version 2.142

Grepolis was updated to version 2.142 on July 12, 2017.

Summary

  • This version puts a big focus on comprehensibility of the different unit types in Grepolis. Therefore we implemented new unit icons to clarify which unit is strong against which counterpart and to highlight special abilities.
  • Additionally we took care of hero slots after a restart and fixed some bugs along the way.

Changes & Improvements

  • New icons next to unit names were added to classify them.
    • Each unit is classified as one of the following:
      • Regular land unit
      • Mythical land unit
      • Regular naval unit
      • Mythical naval unit

Unit details ground.pngUnit details ground mythic.pngUnit details naval2.pngUnit details naval2 mythic.png

    • Next to the unit classification, you can review the unit type:
      • Offensive unit type
      • Defensive unit type
      • Hybrid (both)

Image2016-8-30 14-16-20.pngUnit details defend2.png

    • In addition to these characteristics, some units display icons for their special abilities:
      • Flying unit
      • Wall destruction (Catapult)
      • Self Destruction (Fire Ship)
      • Colonization (Colony Ship)

Unit icons fly.pngUnit icons destroy buildings.pngUnit icons brander.pngUnit icons colonize.png

    • These icons are also used in other places, e.g. in descriptions of advisor effects.
  • Existing icons for unit abilities were reworked to become more intuitive
    • Damage types

  • Upon resetting an account, slots will be available for all owned heroes. However, in order to unlock new slots, the required amount of culture points for all existing and the additional slot need to be achieved. Buying new hero slots is possible at any given moment.

Bugfixes

  • Command overview - Tooltips for revolt icons were missing, leading to missing information in this overview.
  • City foundation screen - Text for required culture points was misleading especially for the first colonization. Amount of required culture points was replaced by available city slots instead.
  • City foundation screen - Starting a city foundation from towns in which gods with 2 mythical land units are worshipped could break the unit selection layout. Units now all appear in their respective lines.
  • City foundation screen - Fixed an issue causing translations for islands without farming villages not to appear.
  • Quest log - Remaining time until next island quest could not be displayed if more than 6 tutorial quests were open.
  • City foundation screen - Displayed building levels in city preview were wrong.

Version 2.141

Grepolis was updated to version 2.141 on June 28, 2017.

Summary

  • With this version we focused a lot on improvements for new and existing players. First of all we wanted to make colonization easier to access for new players. Therefore we prepared to move the colony ship research to an earlier academy level and adjusted the settlement screen to provide more information.
  • Additionally we added more functionality to the strategic map, added slingers as a potential island quest reward and adjusted island quest icons in the city overview to give more clear information.

Changes & Improvements

  • Settlements are made easier and more intuitive for new players.
    • The settlement screen was reworked completely to receive a different design and more useful information, especially for new players:
      • Requirements for settlement are listed if they are not met yet
      • The screen provides additional information on the island (e.g. about farming villages being available) as well as the premade buildings in the city you are about to found.
    • Additionally preparations were made for the activation of the following changes which are currently only available and being tested on the new beta world Sandbox 7:
      • The research "Colony Ship" was moved from academy level 22 to 13.
      • Required harbor level for colony ships was lowered to level 10 instead of level 20.
      • Tutorial quests and their rewards were adjusted in accordance to these changes. This should enable new players to build a colony ship soon after getting the respective quest.
  • City dots on the strategic map now offer the same functionality as cities in the island view.
    • A click on any city on the strategic map opens the context menu for the respective city.
    • Dots enlarge on mouseover to give feedback on which city is currently selected in the narrow space.
  • Rewards on the island quest "The Desperate Village" were adjusted.
    • Slinger Reinforcement replaces Improved Attack (rare/epic) for the aggressive option of this quest.
    • The community has been requesting a Slinger effect to be added to island quests and we gladly follow this wish
  • Island quest indicator icons in the city list are no longer shown for time based quests. Texts were adjusted to indicate that quests for on these city's island still require some player action to be finished.
  • Negative effects triggered through island quests can now be reviewed from the quest log (mouseover on challenge button).

Bugfixes

  • Senate - Removed an error that could prevent certain buildings from be demolishable if requirements for upgrading the same building could not be met (button greyed out on upgrade screen).
  • Quest log - Fixed an issue that could cause quest details to appear as empty after finishing 2 or more quests simultaneously.
  • City foundation - Islands without any towns were shown as having no farming villages although there were farming villages present.
  • City foundation - The check for all requirements now knows that certain building levels are only required for research / colony ship construction processes and not the colonization itself.

Important Information

  • With the update to version 2.141 all players will be logged out and need to perform a manual log in afterwards. This is required due to us changing to an even more secure encryption method for stored data, for which the update will be triggered with the next login.

Version 2.140

Grepolis was updated to version 2.140 on June 14, 2017.

Summary

  • This sprint we focused a lot on the preparations of some upcoming events and technical upgrades, hence there is not a lot of visual content to show for.
  • However, we still have some bug fixes that we would like to inform you about.
  • The command overview has been rewritten with the intention of achieving performance improvements in situations with high volumes of movements aimed towards a single player.

Bugfixes

  • Heroes - Fixed an error that could occur when heroes returning from outside movements were involved in combat against another player besieging the originating town in the meantime.
  • Reports - An internal error could occur when trying to open reports about the failed reception of a bundle or package.
  • Deletion - No prompt was shown asking players if they would like to abort their deletion when logging in during the 7 day grace period. The prompt has been fixed.
  • World Wonders - Fixed an error that could cause two world wonders to be started on the same spot when certain actions were done in the exact same second. Duplicate entries were removed.
  • Attack preparation - Unit input fields showed NaN upon hitting up and down arrows while editing the content of empty fields.
  • Quest Log - Progress was shown at 100% although quest has some seconds left to complete. We now taught the game that 100% is only reached upon completion.
  • Island Quests - Selecting the maximum possible amount of resources was no longer possible after finishing resource collection quests partially.

Version 2.139

Grepolis was updated to version 2.139 on May 31, 2017.

Summary

  • After implementing the island quest rebalancing with the previous version, it is now time for the visual overhaul. All quest types are now listed in the quest log, showing all available island quests at a glance.
  • Additionally we took preparations for our next in-game event and added a new hero for it - Daidalos.

Changes & Improvements

  • Island Quests received a visual overhaul. They are now shown in the quest log for easier access and no longer take up valuable space at the top right of the screen.

Iq decide.png

    • New island quests are indicated next to the quest log icon so you can see new challenges at a glance.

Iq new.png

    • Quest progression is shown in the overview, with more details available in the quest description. Peaceful actions have a blue progress bar, aggressive options are shown in red.
    • A timer above the quest progression bar shows how long the quest is still available before it will expire.

Iq timer.png

    • If no island quests are currently available, the remaining time until the next quest will be displayed in the quest log.

Iq waitingquest2.png

    • As it can prove difficult to locate the right city for each open quest, the island quest indicator in the city overview is now displayed as long as there is a pending quest on the city's island. You can of course also use the center button to jump to the respective quest island.
    • As it can prove difficult to locate the right city for each open quest, the island quest indicator in the city overview is now displayed as long as there is a pending quest on the city's island. You can of course also use the center button to jump to the respective quest island.
  • A new hero was added to the game - Daidalos.
    • Daidalos is a new exclusive hero that becomes available with the next event.
    • Effect: While Daidalos is assigned to a town, he will reduce the costs and construction time of Biremes by 10% (+1% per level).
    • Cost: 70 Coins of Wisdom (after losing exclusive status)

Bugfixes

  • Reports - Fixed an error that could appear if the account of the conqueror of a town was deleted before the respective report about the loss of the city was opened.
  • Recruitment overview - Different numbers should no longer be shown in input field and above if a hero with recruitment effects (e.g. Aristotle) is assigned to the city the recruitment is started from.
  • City foundation - Remaining time for foundation will now update properly.
  • Island Quests - Quest Log - Rally troops quests could not be solved as window to select units did not load properly.

Important Information

  • Since Grepolis no longer supports Internet Explorer versions 9 and below, we recommend you update your browser. Should you not meet the version requirements, you will be informed by an error message stating that your browser is not supported.

Version 2.138

Grepolis was updated to version 2.138 on May 17, 2017.

Summary

  • After weeks of working on and testing island quest changes, we can now roll out the majority of changes to all live worlds. Some interface rework is still pending, however, and will follow in subsequent updates.
  • Additionally we worked on some mobile improvements that will be announced in the separate mobile changelog.
  • Of course we also hunted and fixed several bugs and implemented technical improvements.

Changes & Improvements

  • The island quest rebalancing is activated on all live worlds. Quest difficulty, objectives, mechanics and rewards have been reworked to provide a better experience for players in all game stages.
    • The island quest system has been reworked to make quests more challenging, but also more rewarding through a significant increase in reward value especially for later game stages.
    • General changes: The following effects were adjusted. This applies to effects earned through in-game events and island quests:
      • Favor package (amount scales with game progression level)
      • Improved troop movement (duration increased from 30 minutes/level to 60 minutes/level)
      • Coins of War/Wisdom/Both (amount scales with world speed)
      • Resource packages (amount scales with game progression level)
      • Improved Resource Production (effect increased from 50% to 250-1000%)
    • Quest difficulty calculations were adjusted:
      • The amount of game progression levels was increased from 3 to 4.
      • Quest difficulty is determined by game progression and points of biggest city on island (was: average of all city's points).
    • Island Quest rewards were adjusted to remain equally valuable across all game stages:
      • Coins of War/Wisdom grant more coins the higher the world speed (maximum speed 4).
      • Accelerated Construction has been replaced with Effficient Architects (rare & epic).
      • Accelerated Recruitment has been replaced with Reduced Recruitment Times (rare & epic).
      • Improved Attack has been replaced with Improved Attack (rare & epic).
      • Improved Defense has been replaced with Improved Defense (rare & epic).
      • Forced Loyalty is no longer available as it can't be used with battle point villages.
    • Quest objectives were adjusted to remove blockers and make available choices equally attractive and challenging:
      • The amount of units that need to be defeated scale with world speed.
      • The amount of units that need to be defended against scale with world speed.
      • Time to wait for "wait x hours" quests had been streamlined and increased in some cases (4-16 hours).
      • Negative effects have been adjusted. Negative resource production effects have more impact (-50% instead of -10%). In turn negative defensive and offensive effects have become weaker (Weakened Attack: -20% instead of -30%; Weakened Defense: -10% instead of -30%).
      • Attack and Rally Troops cannot appear as options within the same quest, removing blockers for specialized cities (attack & defense are still possible as support could be sent from other cities).
    • Further adjustments:
      • Attack quests now give equal loot to all players attacking the same quest target.
      • Quest limits have been adjusted to a maximum of 6 available quests (previously 10) and 3 quests that can be accepted at the same time (previously 4).
      • After a longer absence there will be at least one new quest available soon after starting a new game session (previously you had to wait up to 8 hours).
    • The changes are extensive. Therefore we prepared a dedicated wiki page [REPLACE WITH YOUR LINK], providing a more detailed list of all changes.

Bugfixes

  • Registration - Facebook players no longer receive a request to validate their e-mail addresses as they are validated automatically upon registration.
  • Messages - From page 2 onward, moving messages to folders was no longer possible through drag and drop, breaking the functionality altogether until reloading the game.
  • Loot - Fixed a rounding error that could occur when attacking with a full cave, causing 1 resource to be lost.
  • Command overview - Cancel movement button would sometimes still be displayed after 10 minutes.
  • Senate - Under certain circumstances the population requirements for upgrades to level 13 and 15 did not meet the actual deducted population.
  • Texts have been adjusted to reflect the worst case scenario and show the right numbers.

Important Information

  • To keep the inconveniences during the change to the new island quest parameters as low as possible, two things will happen around the designated update time:
    • Certain quest types will stop appearing approximately 24 to 48 hours before the update (e.g. the ones with objectives to rally troops or attack) as they would no longer exist with the new version.
    • During the update process all open finished quests will be completed and rewards moved to the (extended) inventory to ensure that old rewards are gathered before being replaced with new ones.

Version 2.137

On May 3 2017, Grepolis was updated to version 2.137

Summary

  • While you were enjoying the Easter spirit with Trial of the Slingers, we used the short development time during the holidays and worked on a community request to minimize the number of farming villages with the same trade options.
  • Additionally we were looking into some smaller technical improvements and, of course, also fixed some bugs.

Changes & Improvements

  • Following a wish of the community we changed the logic of how farming villages are generated on an island.
    • Previously farming villages were randomly generated so there could be 6 farming villages with identical trade options on an island.
    • Now the number of identical farming villages per island is limited to 2. This will ensure that no more than 2 farming villages on an island will offer you identical trade options.
  • Bundles and Packages in the shop now appear in a more structured order. Instead of appearing in by time of appearance, they will now be sorted by more meaningful categories, e.g. price or type.

Bugfixes

  • Trial of the Slingers - Notifications after achieving the first High Accuracy award have been fixed.
  • Trial of the Slingers - Unnecessary HTML code at the end of the Day's Winner message was removed.
  • Browser notifications - Players received wrong notifications about incoming attacks for their own sent attacks.
  • Color assignment - Players with no alliance will again have brown as default color instead of blue.
  • Sound notifications - With active browser notifications on beta worlds, sounds kept repeating several times. These notifications will now cease the spam and keep it more quiet.
  • Alliance profile - A small pixel error in the alliance profile has been fixed.
  • Player invitation - In rare cases players ended up far away from the one who invited them. Now they should again spawn near the inviting player.
  • Bonus effects - Overriding a player-wide effect such as Divine Senses only removed it from the current town, keeping it stackable in all other towns. Now the effect will override on all towns

Version 2.136

On April 19 2017, Grepolis was updated to version 2.136

Summary

  • After receiving your helpful feedback regarding the island quest rewards, we agreed to make some of the rewards non-stackable. Additionally we adjusted island quest texts to prepare them for interface changes we have planned.
  • Furthermore, a technical change in the way messages get deleted should improve the game performance as deletion requests are now bundled.
  • As a community request we implemented markers for incoming attacks and support in the city drop-down list. Of course we also fixed some bugs.

Changes & Improvements

  • Certain effects become non-stackable so they cannot be active at the same time anymore.
    • When you already have an epic version of an effect active, you cannot use regular and rare versions on top of it. Instead, you will get a popup informing you about the more powerful effect already being active.
    • However, you can activate more powerful effects (e.g. epic when rare is already active). The inferior one may be overwritten.
    • This list should give you a quick overview of the effects for which this method is applied:
      • Accelerated construction < Efficient architects (rare) < Efficient architects (epic)
      • Accelerated recruitment < Reduced recruitment times (rare) < Reduced recruitment times (epic)
      • Improved attack < Improved attack (rare) < Improved attack (epic)
      • Improved defense < Improved defense (rare) < Improved defense (epic)
      • Improved favor production < Increased favor production (rare) < Increased favor production (epic)
      • Improved wood production < Increased resource production (rare) < Increased resource production (epic)
      • Heightened Senses < Divine senses
  • The quest texts of island quests have been adjusted.
    • For the future we plan to integrate island quests into the regular questlog. This is part of the island quest changes.
    • To fit into the smaller questlog layout we had to shorten the quest texts a bit but kept their overall tonality and content.
  • Markers for incoming attack and support movements have been added to the city drop-down list.
    • Following a community request, we decided to give all players a more convenient game experience and now display small symbols next to the town name.
    • This overview is also available in the app version (previously, these icons were only available when you had an active administrator).

Attacksupportmarker.png

  • We changed the way multiple deletions of notifications get handled in the game's backend.
    • Previously: When deleting a high amount of notifications at the same time, all deletions were handled in single requests which was quite a high load for the servers.
    • Now multiple deletions will be handled in one request instead. This technical change should add up to improve the general game performance.

Bugfixes

  • Color assignments - We fixed more possible cases of colors not being assigned correctly.
  • Academy - When trying to demolish the academy you could get an error message because of a miscalculation of research points. Now it is again possible to tear down your academy.

Version 2.135

On 5 April 2017, Grepolis was updated to version 2.135

Summary

  • As requested by our Community, the notification about the start of the era of worlds wonders now appears instantly instead of popping up with the first new game session after the start.
  • Artemis will finally become available on all game worlds, enabling us to include her in events, Grepolisscore and other game areas.
  • Additionally we improved the deletion of reports when sorting them by category, started preparations for our annual Easter event and fixed some issues in the browser and mobile versions of the game.

Changes & Improvements

  • The notification about the start of the era of world wonders now appears instantly.
    • Following recent community requests, we changed the notification about the start of the era of worlds wonders.
    • Previously these notifications were shown with your first login after the era has already started.
    • Now this notification will be pushed to all online players soon after the start.
  • The goddess Artemis is available on all game worlds.
    • From now on it will be possible to offer potential event rewards that are related to Artemis
    • The following awards become available in the Grepolisscore for all game worlds:
      • Slaughterer of Calydonian Boars
      • Slaughterer of Griffins
      • Calydonian Boars, at your service!
      • Griffins, at your service!
      • Resisting the Griffins
      • Deathtrap for Griffins
  • The functionality of 'mark all' and 'delete all' reports has been improved to properly take filters into account.
    • When applying filters to reports and then marking and deleting them all, every single report was removed previously, even the ones that did not fall into the same filter category.
    • Now the feature is working as expected. When selecting e.g. support reports and subsequently marking and removing them all, only support reports will get removed.

Bugfixes

  • Grepolisscore - The handling of the current event category of Grepolisscore has been reworked to ensure that correct texts and icons are always shown.
  • Invite Friends - Fixed an internal error that could occur when changing the city the player should be invited close to before finalizing the invite.

Version 2.134

On March 22 2017, Grepolis was updated to version 2.134

Summary

  • While Island Quest changes and performance improvements have been enabled for testing on beta, we focused on a few more new additions to the game.
  • The commands overview has seen an overhaul. We intend to test these changes on beta starting next week. If the desired performance improvements kick in, changes will also become available on live worlds soon after.
  • Furthermore we revived a function to enable alternate graphics in the game for special occasions and prepared everything for the activation of Artemis on all game worlds.

Changes & Improvements

  • We reactivated a function that will allow us to display select themed game elements for certain festivities and occasions (e.g. Christmas).
  • Artemis, our 6th Goddess will be activated on all game worlds in about 2 weeks time, with game version 2.135.
    • This change allows for potential future event rewards including her mythical units.
    • In preparation for this change, we recently also made Artemis' mythical units available in the training windows of Grepolympia.

Bugfixes

  • Reports - Conquest reports could cause endless loading circles for forum/notes in certain edge cases (player not having enough culture points at the moment of colony ship landing, colony ship returning to town that has since been taken by another player).
  • Awards - Fixed an issue that caused global awards (e.g. "Last man standing") to not be synchronized properly across all game worlds.
  • Demeter event - Fixed errors in automatic messages sent to players in top 10 of the event (hospitality points shown instead of player name, award graphic missing).
  • Alliance - A change of color of your alliance's crest is now properly reflected on the world map, in alliance members' profiles and in the color selection overview.
  • Spells - Error when trying to cast spells to player towns.

Version 2.133

On March 8 2017, Grepolis updated to version 2.133

Summary

  • For this version, our developers focused a lot on research and implementation of technical adjustments to improve performance of the game client. We will keep following up on this topic with more changes in the upcoming versions.
  • Additionally we tested some of the previously announced island quest changes internally and reviewed them in terms of Game Design standards and technical implementation.

Beta testing of these changes is scheduled for the first week of March. Make sure to follow our beta forums if you are interested in the topic!

  • Finally there is good news for those of you waiting to get your hands on Aristotle, Agamemnon and Christopholus. These 3 heroes become available outside their previous events and hero awards are sorted differently for a better overview.
  • The scaling of unit reinforcement effects has been adjusted in some game areas.
    • The base values of select unit reinforcement effects granted from in-game events (e.g. in the Grepolympia shop, through the daily login bonus) have been adjusted slightly.
    • The amount of units gained through Hoplite, Swordsman, Slinger and Archer reinforcements have been increased slightly when obtained through the aforementioned features.
    • Unit reinforcement effects gained through Island Quests will be changed to have the same calculations at a later point in time as we would like to keep them in line with the difficulty of these quests.

Changes & Improvements

  • 3 heroes lose their exclusive status and become available for all players.
    • The following 3 heroes now join the regular recruitment rotation:
      • Aristotle (Winter 2016)
      • Agamemnon (Sparta vs. Hades)
      • Christopholus (Nature's Wheel of Time)
  • Sorting for hero awards has been adjusted. All hero awards are now sorted by hero instead of award type.
    • Previously there was no consistent sorting for hero awards, some were sorted by award type (Bounty, Power) others by the hero in question.
    • From now on, all hero awards will be sorted per hero so that you can easily find all awards for the hero in question without having to look for each award individually.

Greposcorenew.png

  • The following preparation for Island Quest changes become activated on live worlds:
    • Mythical units can be sent to Island Quests asking to dispatch troops
      • Previously these units could not be sent to support the quest entities.
    • For island quest objectives involving the dispatching of troops, population is now taken into account to determine how many troops need to be sent
      • Previously: A fixed number of units was requested.
      • This change allows for the aforementioned possibility of sending mythical units to quest to work properly.
    • Island quest difficulty is now determined by a combination of game progression and the amount of points accumulated with each player's biggest city on the respective island.
      • Previously: Average points across all cities on the island were taken into account for calculations.
      • After this change quests will become more challenging but also more rewarding. Since one of the cities is already as far progressed, it should be possible to master this challenge easily, ultimately offering you better rewards more often.
    • The amount of Coins of War and Wisdom handed out as island quest rewards now scale with world speed.
      • Previously: A fixed amount of coins was granted to all players finishing a quest.
      • The world speed multiplier is capped at 4.
      • With this change we expect to align coin gains with player progression on faster speed worlds, allowing you to level up your heroes quicker.

Bugfixes

  • Heroes - Training window showed unintended line breaks if stats exceeded 3 digit numbers (decimals).
  • Player profile - After conquering a town the background color of a player's profile changed slightly. It will now remain the same.
  • Performance - Some technical changes aiming to increase the performance of the game client in some specific situations involving high volumes of commands for one player have been implemented. More are to follow.

Version 2.132

On February 22 2017, Grepolis updated to version 2.132

Summary

  • We are still in the process of preparing the first changes of the planned Island Quest rework. If you missed our DevBlog article on this topic, you can stay informed and voice your opinions [here]. Beta testing for the first changes will also become available shortly, so stay tuned!
  • With this update, we enabled the use of town IDs in the attack planner and adjusted the layout of dropdown-menus using auto-completion.
  • Additionally we adjusted some texts for more clarity and of course also fixed bugs along the way.

Changes & Improvements

  • Town IDs can now be used to select towns in the Attack Planner (premium feature)
    • Previously you could only target town names in the Attack Planner - making it difficult to select the right destination if several players chose the same town name.
    • You may now use either the town name or town ID to identify the town you would like to plan attacks for.

Attackplanner id.png

  • Resource storage texts were adjusted for more clarity
    • The game previously displayed that the warehouse would be full at a certain time in the future. However, this information was based on the current resource production while requesting the data. Running effects, for instance, could expire before stated date was reached.
    • The texts were adjusted to indicate that your storage will run out of capacity earliest at a certain date - or later if your stored amount of resources or resource production change in the meantime.
  • Dropdown menus in fields with auto-completion functionality were adjusted to match the style of Grepolis better.

Autocompletedropdown.png

Bugfixes

  • Attack preparation - Corrected the warning displayed when trying to send heroes by themselves to attack on other islands. It now properly reflects that ships or flying units are required in order to send them on their way.
  • Alliance forum - Locked threads are now properly marked as read when choosing to set the whole forum section to read status.
  • Color assignments - Players without an alliance can now set custom colors for alliances without losing the color assignments just seconds after.
  • Conquest/Revolt - Some adjustments were made to ensure that processing delays have less of an impact on starting times of conquests and revolts. Consequently both actions should end as described in the respective reports.
  • Favor - Reduced favor production triggered as negative effect of an Island Quest now only affects the town the quest was started from, not the global favor production for the respective god.
  • Hall of Fame - Fixed an error that could cause Hall of Fame and award data to be inconsistent, consequently leading to errors in the alliance rankings within the Hall of Fame.

Version 2.131

On February 8 2017, Grepolis updated to version 2.131.

Summary

  • In this version, we started laying the technical foundation for some upcoming changes to our Island Quest system. If you are interested in the upcoming changes, please head over to our DevBlog where our Game Designers present a preview.
  • Consequently, this version's community feature brings an addition to Island Quests by showing travel times for attacks on Island Quest objectives.
  • Furthermore we have adjusted the handling of awards for recurring events and fixed some bugs.

Changes & Improvements

  • Travel times added for Island Quests (Community Request)
    • When accepting an Island Quest with the objective of attacking enemy troops, travel times are now displayed in the attack preparation screen.
    • We have seen this feature requested time and time again and found that it worked well in the mobile app, so it was about time we implemented it for browser as well.

2.129.png

  • Adjusted titles displayed in Grepolisscore for awards obtained in recurring events
    • Some of Grepolis' events are recurring and come with their own set of awards each time they are run. Previously they showed the year of the event in order to make them separable.
    • Award names for some of these recurring events have now been reworked to display the month and year they were obtained, in addition to the exact date on which they were earned.

Bugfixes

  • Login - Fixed a potential issue with player registrations and subsequent logins to new worlds.
  • World wonders - Wonders level 10 display their description at the bottom again, instead of the top of the window - overlapping the graphics.
  • Grepolisscore - Some awards for recurring events were displayed twice.
  • Agora - A JavaScript error that could occur when closing the agora window quickly after organizing Olympic Games was fixed.
  • Bandits Camp - Buttons on the attack screen appeared in wrong position.

Version 2.130

On January 25 2017, Grepolis was updated to version 2.130.

Summary

  • Demeter is about to return and we're happy to introduce 5 new guests for her event after recent feedback indicated that graphical alterations for recurring events would be appreciated.
  • Additionally we have worked on bringing more clarity for world wonder effects by making the information available even before the construction of a wonder is started.
  • Last but not least, we have introduced full support for IPv6 and took care of several bugs.

Changes & Improvements

  • In Demeter's Name! New guests will arrive in your tavern!
    • Demeter is in need of your help again! In the raging war you become host to several starving guests that need to be catered. Gather ingredients and cook up a storm.
    • Recent community feedback indicated that occasional changes in graphics for recurring events would be appreciated. Our artists were more than happy to follow this request for the upcoming event!
    • 5 new guests will be visiting your tavern and stay for up to 3 days at a time. Check back frequently to meet them all!
  • Tooltip description of world wonder effects before construction
    • Up until now, bonus effects of finished world wonders were not visible in the world wonder construction menu.
    • In order to allow for better judgement of which world wonder would be the most valuable option for your alliance - without having to rely to the wiki - a new tooltip in the construction window will inform you about the respective bonus effect of any wonder your hover your mouse over.
  • Grepolis is ready for the future! Our systems are now fully IPv6 compliant.

Bugfixes

  • Grepolisscore - Awards granted for levelling heroes were not properly granted if required experience points for a level-up were gained through *Travelling Mentor or Luxury Residence effects.
