==Description==
 
The Hoplite forms the basics of any Greek army. It carries a spear which is a sharp weapon. Because of this it is good offensive and defensive. However it is not good for raiding as it carries too little. It's heavy armour which is good defenses aganist impact and stabbing weapons it makes them slow moving units

Hoplite
 Hoplites are a slow unit with sharp weapons. They are good in attack and reasonable in defence. Often hoplites are said to be a slow version of chariots , but they are slightly cheaper and cost less population in proportion to their attacking force.
Must research Hoplites in the Academy. Available at level 4.
