== New Farming System ==
Here is what is currently known about the 2.0 Farming system.

"We are proud to present the new and improved farming system and the redesigned villages:

The farming system that Grepolis uses in 1.25 is tedious and time consuming. We revisited our farming concepts and decided to improve them for the enjoyment of our players. With the implementation of 2.0, players will be able to collect resources and start the game easier and faster. Let me go into more detail:

Every player can now occupy a certain amount of villages, which is dependent on the level of the senate. At the very beginning the number of occupied villages will be two. To occupy a village at least one unit must be stationed there. Of course villages can be used by more than one player, and the village can distribute resources to all occupants. Once the village is under your control it will generate resource-shipments in regular intervals. To collect your resources you will simply have to click on the village. In addition to that, villages can also store a few resource-shipments to make things easier. It is even possible to demand resources in advance, and once the resource-shipment is ready they will be sent to the players. However, keep the mood of the village in mind as it will drop as a result. The villages can even rise against your troops and kill them if the mood is too low. This will stop the shipments from the village for a small amount of time. The more units occupy the village, the slower the mood will decrease.
Villages can also be upgraded, which provide players with bonuses. For example the maximum amount of resources a shipment can transport can be increased. Villages can also be shared by other alliance members. It is even possible to receive resources form villages that are not occupied by your troops, but are owned by your alliance. However, these resource shipments are very small."

== Hades ==

Here is what is currently known about the new Grepolis 2.0 god, Hades.

"Hades crawled up from the underworld to aid our players during their conquests. Not only is the lord of the underworld incredibly stylish, but he also adds some interesting aspects to the game. Cerberus and the Erinyes will act as reinforcements on the battlefield, and his dark powers will aid in conquering your enemies.

• Helmet of Invisibility: Your troops are invisible for the first 10 % of their journey.

• Return of the Dead: 10 % of your killed units return to their home city.

• Plague: Reduces an enemy city's resource production by 50% for ___ hours / 250 favor"

== World Wonders ==
Here is what is currently known about the 2.0 feature World Wonders.

"In Grepolis 2.0 alliances can construct all seven world wonders: The Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

Alliances will be able to communally build world wonders, but it will cost a lot of resources and will be divided into 10 stages. Each stage must be finished before the next can be started.

The entire island must be under control of the alliance, this means that if a town, on the island, is lost to another alliance during a world wonder construction level, both the level and all used resources will be lost. The use of favor will accelerate the building process.

And to make things more competitive, each world wonder can only be completed once in every world. Other alliances can build the same world wonder, but they wont be able to “complete” the construction. The goal is to control as many world wonders as possible.

An alliance can start the building of the World Wonders when:

• The era of the World Wonders has begun.

• Your alliance occupies the construction site.

• You alliance controls '''ALL''' cities on the island.

The era of the World Wonders starts when:

• The world has existed 9 months.  (Check [[World Information]] to see on what day each world has started)

• The top 50 alliances' points added together is over 250 million. Each additional month after the mandatory nine months starting requirement, reduces the required points by 13 million.

Further effects of world wonders will be explained in the near future."

When 4 of the 7 World Wonders are controlled by a single alliance the world will restart and become a Hero World...

== Phoenician Trader ==
Here is what is currently known about the 2.0 feature Phoenician Trader

"During our last 2.0 feature introduction we previewed the new god Hades. Instead of using divine powers, the new feature will use economic abilities. Today we will introduce the Phoenician Trader.

The Phoenician trader can visit every city which has built both the harbor and the marketplace. However he cannot visit the same city twice in a row. During his visits the player will be able to trade 2 resources for a third different resource (for example: wood + clay for silver). The player may only trade in one catagory and will have to choose. The conversion rate of the Phoenician trader is 1:1.5 (1:2 with the merchant’s shop). The available amount of resources is dependent on the docks and marketplace building levels, plus a random variable.

The trader will also provide 3 random units that will be available to the player in exchange for silver. Even mystical units may become available (rare), but the city must have a temple, and be worshipping the correct god.

The Phoenician trader will visit your city for a certain amount of hours when you login. Then he will leave to do more business elsewhere. You will be able to decrease the duration between Phoenician visits with the use of gold (20). To receive resources or troops your city must have the available warehouse space or population. Further Phoenician details will be revealed in the future."

== Heroworlds ==
Here is what is currently known about the 2.0 feature Heroworlds.

"Grepolis 2.0 is coming closer every day, and we have yet another game feature to quench your thirst for the coming update. Last time we presented Hades the ruler of the underworld. Now we will inform you about Hero worlds, and hopefully answer most of the important World Wonder question.

Before we can tell you where you are going, it is important to explain where you have been. You started your city and slowly constructed your buildings. A messenger was sent to another city to ask him for an alliance. Soon you built troops and started raiding the nearby villages. You researched advanced technologies to get the edge on your opponent. Time past, and you and your alliance have fought your way to the top. Threatening enemies are slowly surrounding you. But where do you go from here? The dawn of the hero worlds has come! Hero worlds will give the players a chance to play in a new world with custom settings, once they have battled for dominance in the current worlds.

The key to unlock the passage to the Hero Worlds lies within building the World Wonders. With each World Wonder you build, your alliance will receive special bonuses. Every World Wonder can only be built once. There are special prerequisites every alliance must fulfill before a world wonder can even begin construction (do not expect to see a WW in the first month of 2.0). The goal of every alliance is to build 4 of the 7 World Wonders! Once your alliance builds 4 world wonders the game ends, if it is a world that started after 2.0, and everyone on that world ascends to the Hero World. Worlds that already existed before the update, for example Alpha, will not end for now. Instead they will continue, allowing players to play in the Hero World as well. We can not guarantee that those worlds will be open forever. Your whole alliance can move to the new world without inviting each other again. Proven warriors from other worlds may also join a Hero World if they have enough game points. But what exactly are the differences between the current worlds (warrior worlds), and the new Hero Worlds?

We want Hero Worlds to start with a bang! Therefore all players will start with multiple cities instead of just one. Also the player will have more resources and troops. Other game play differences are listed below:

• The villages produce more resources

• The recruitment time of units has been reduced

• Your Warehouse will be able to hold more resources

• Your farm will be able to support more troops

• You will keep some of your research

• new units will be available

• New divine powers will be available

The Hero World settings will provide the stage for a fast and aggressive game play! We are very excited about this new feature and hope that old and new players will enjoy it alike. Gain experience in your current world, and put it to use in the advanced Hero Worlds!"

==New Academy Research==

A new research has been added to the academy in the lvl 7-9 academy range.

'''Espionage''': Increases the speed of your spy by 10%
900 Wood/900 Stone/1100 Silver/ 3 Research Points

This research replaces the '''Demand Troops''' research. Demanding troops will now be available without the research.
