Premium is a feature of the game which allows a player to gain certain advantages in-game through the use of various advisors, reducing the time it takes to build buildings, train troops, and research at the Academy. It also allows you to gain Culture Points, and summon the Phoenician Trader to a city of your choice. Each of these features costs gold. The follwing will explain how to acquire gold, and also the benefits of the premium features.

Under Premium on the sidebar, you will find the option to enlist the help of 5 Advisors in the game. Each of these advisors provide you and your cities with various benefits. In order to start using these advisors, you will need to have enough gold in your account to activate them.

Administrator

The Administrator supports you during the development and organisation of a huge empire. You can place up to seven construction orders and he will prepare many detailed overviews for you.

One of the most valuable of these overviews is the Quickbar. The quick bar appears under the City Name and Resources Symbols, and is entirely customisable.

Another example of a provided overview is the ability to view past reports in the General Information tab of other cities. This is helpful when planning attacks.

Merchant

Merchant.jpg

The Merchant optimises your economic cycles, increasing your resource production by 30%. In addition, he allows for more favourable trade with other cities.

High Priestess

Priestess.jpg

The High priestess has an especially good relationship with the gods. She increases your favour production by 50% and supports your mythical units so they fight 20% stronger.

Commander

Commander.jpg

The commander enjoys the highest regard among your troops. He is able to increase your troop's motivation even further, so land units fight 20% stronger.

Captain

Captain.jpg

The Captain is an experienced seafarer who has already defeated many enemy fleets. His experience is a valuable enhancement of your naval battle force, so naval units fight 20% stronger.

Attack Planner (2.0)

The captain also comes with an Attack Planner (2.0), so that you can organise attacks easily and share them with your allies.

Cut Building Time

Next to your advisors you also have the option to instantly cut a building's construction time in half, this will cost 20 gold per use.

Cut Recruitment Times

As of version 2.07, you also have an option to instantly cut recruitment times in half, similar to how building times are cut. However, there are some limitations:

  • You may only use the "cut recruitment time" feature a limited number of times for each group of units being built. A complex formula is used to work out a non-reduceable time, which must remain after using the "cut recruitment time" feature. This formula is:
    • (Units building x "20 seconds")- *lapsed time to push reduction* = unreduceable time

Note that the 20 seconds is dependant on world speed. For example, on speed 2 it will be 10 seconds and so on.

Cut Research Times (2.0)

You may now cut research times in half, similar to how you cut building times in half. This costs 20 gold per use.

Summon Phoenician Trader (2.0)

You may also summon the Phoenician Trader instantly to one of your harbours. This costs 50 gold.

Olympic Games

Olympics

Furthermore, you have the ability to hold the Olympic Games. The Olympics can begin in the Culture Tab of the Agora and will cost 50 gold, however you need a Level 30 Academy to begin. The Olympics will contribute towards your culture points, which are required to conquer and found other cities.
