PnP stands for Politics and Propaganda, also known as P+P, PoPro and P&P.
PnP's are used to influence the opinions of people to gain supporters for your viewpoint. In Grepolis, PnP's are used on the external forum. Most of the time, the creator of the PnP wants to convince you that a certain player or alliance is either good or bad. PnP's mostly contain humorous jokes and funny pictures. This is done to make it more appealing, and therefore more persuasive.
Use
The use of PnP's is to gain more supporters for your opinion on something. PnP's contain propaganda material, which shows the criticized party is not good at something. Most of the time the PnP's from grepolis contain actions from the criticized party which failed, such as failed conquer attempts, attacks with defensive units or very poor sportsmanship (in the form of messages) This to show the rest of the community that they are bad.
Pnp's are mostly formatted in a negative way, to influence the public opinion in favor of the maker.
Techniques
There are several tactics to create a successful PnP, as listed below.
- Honesty - The easiest form of Propaganda in PnP's. Give a honest and true argument, and let the mass decide for themselves what they think of it.
- Stylish - If you strongly increase you formality and way of speaking, people are more likely to follow you, and believe what you are saying.
- Tricks - Tricks can help to weaken the impact of the opposers, for example by spreading rumours.
- Repetition - By repeating a sentence often people think this sentence is true. This is a very effective strategy to use in you PnP
- Obvious lies - Obvious lies are sometimes more likely to be true that the small lies. Se spreading lies about the enemy may make people like you more.
- Humor - This is the most used, and also most effective way to gain supporters for your viewpoint. If you're planning on making a PnP You should always use some humor. Definitely the best and most important technique of making a successful PnP.
