World Wonders
World Wonders (often abbreviated as WW) brought a new team-play aspect to Grepolis after the 2.0 update. Once the world is in the "Age of World Wonders" stage, alliances may build world wonders on islands they completely own. World wonders may be built by collecting up resources, with construction being accelerated by using 400 favour from each god.
The Era of World Wonders
After a world has met certain requirements, the whole world will enter "The Era of World Wonders" together. Once in the The Era of World Wonders, alliances must race to build these world wonders on islands they own.
Era of World Wonders World Prerequisites
- The world must have been in existence for at least 9 months
- The sum of the top 50 alliances points must be at least 250 million
- If the world is not in the "Era of World Wonders" after 9 months, the amount needed for the sum of the top 50 alliances will be reduced by 13 million per month.
Building a World Wonder
The construction and expansion of a world wonder takes patience and courage. Each world wonder has 10 levels of construction. On your island, you'll find a sandy spot near the center of island. That is where your world wonder will be built. You may click on this 'spot' to find out more about your world wonder, contribute resources to its construction or start it.
To expand your world wonder, resources will need to be transported using merchants to the WW. These resources are then collected up. Once the alliance has all of the resources required for the next level of the WW, the alliance leader may choose to start construction to the next level of the WW. This construction may be sped up using 400 favour from each god.
Please note that an asterix indicates that this value/all values in row is/are only estimates.
For each WW an alliance has completed, the players in that alliance will get 5% more favour.
Alliances may only build a world wonder on an island they own. This means in order to build a world wonder, the alliance must own every single city on that island. If an alliance loses a city, all the collected resources will be lost, construction will be halted although the WW will still remain. Only if your alliance loses all of the towns on that island will the WW be lost. Please note that other alliances can see what level your world wonder is!

There are 7 different world wonders to be built. Note that each alliance cannot build more than one of each type.
