Attack |
This is the attacking power of a unit. The higher this is, the stronger the unit is in attacking.
Defence (Blunt) |
This is the defense power of a unit against blunt attack. Swordsmen and Horsemen fight with blunt weapons.
Defence (Sharp) |
This is the defense power of a unit against blunt attack. Swordsmen and Horsemen fight with sharp weapons.
Defence (Ranged) |
This is the defense power of a unit against blunt attack. Swordsmen and Horsemen fight with ranged weapons.
Booty |
This is the maximum amount of resources that one unit can carry.
These values are not included in the table.
Speed |
This is the speed of the unit. The higher the number, the faster the unit.
These values are not included in the table.
Each unit has a certain attacking type, blunt, sharp or ranged. Also, each unit has three defensive values, one for each type of attacking unit. For example, if you attack with 10 slingers, then the total attacking value will be 230 ranged. Archers defend with a force of 12 against ranged weapons. You will therefore lose 19 or 20 archers. Use the simulator for detailed calculations.

Militia
Militia is a special unit which can not be recruited in the barracks. Instead, you are able to call them up from the farm. They cost no resources, nor population space. However, if you activate them then production will halve in your city for 3 hours. Militia is a purely defensive unit, it cannot attack and you cannot send it to other cities, even as support. After 3 hours they will disappear (if they have not been killed already) and your production will be back to 100%. Your resource production will remain at 50% for 3 hours, even if all of the militia is killed only seconds after activation.

Slinger
Slingers are a cheap offensive unit. They are pretty fast and, in large numbers, are very strong attackers. In defense they are much less useful. They are best against hoplites and other slingers.

Hoplite
Hoplites are a slow unit with sharp weapons. They are good in attack and reasonable in defence. Often hoplites are said to be a slow version of chariots , but they are slightly cheaper and cost less population in proportion to their attacking force.

Catapult
Catapults are special units. They do not really take part in a fight but can take out the walls of your enemy. They are expensive and take up a lot of population, but if you send around 25 along with your attack, it will completely take out a level 25 wall.
