Halloween Pumpkin Hunt
2011 was the first year to see the pumpkin hunt take place. It was not available on the 1.26 Worlds as the coding was made specifically for the 2.0 Worlds. Players were given the task of hunting for pumpkins in the oceans within a specific time, and received awards for completing this task.
In-Game Event To start a "pumpkin hunt" click on a pumpkin in the ocean. Each pumpkin hunt lasts 60 seconds. During this time you must scroll over the map and collect as many pumpkins as possible. For each pumpkin you collect in the 60 seconds, you will increase the duration of the special Halloween spell on your current city for one hour. The Halloween spell increases your production of all your resources by 5%.
- Example 1:
I activate the "pumpkin hunt" and find 3 pumpkins in 60 sec. My current town will receive a 5% increased resource production spell for 3 hours.
- Example2:
I activate the "pumpkin hunt" and find 8 pumpkins in 60 sec. My current town will receive a 5% increased resource production spell for 8 hours.
Additional Information
- You can only collect each pumpkin once. Also you may not conduct a "pumpkin hunt" as long as the Halloween spell is active. A maximum of 10 pumpkins can be collected during each "pumpkin hunt".
Christmas Advent Calendar
Hello little elfs and forum reindeer,
Once again the holiday season will be upon us and we would like to reward our players with an in-game advent calender. Many of you may know this event from last year. Presents will be floating in the ocean from December 1st until December 24th, and you will be able to open one each day(24 presents in total).
The contents of the presents may be:
-resources
-units
-spells
-other bonuses
This event will be active on all worlds.
Advent calendar guide:
1) Look to the bottom right corner of your screen and find the present there:
2) Hover your mouse over it and a window will open telling you which ocean today's present is in.
You always use the first numbers of the X and Y coordinates
so X: 456 and Y:789 would be shown as ocean: 47
So the present is between X coordinates: 400-499 and Y coordinates: 700-799!
3) Insert the X and Y coordinates from the present hint into the map navigator tool and you should find the present for that day swimming in that ocean. Remember, it is nice to communicate the position of the gift to your alliance as a courtesy.
Additional information: -Only one present can be opened per day -The time used for this competition will be the Grepolis.net server time GMT +1 -The hint for the day is updated every day at midnight at 00:00 GMT+1 -The "source code trick" may not work on the 2.0 version -Posts about the location of gifts on the Grepolis forum are allowed -Each world has different gift coordinates.
