Version 2.51
On December 11th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.51.
Features/Changes:
- Deactivated parallel login into mobile and browser: it is no longer be possible to be logged on mobile and browser at the same time;
- Community requests:
- Exact time for the end of a siege is now displayed in a tooltip;
- Alliances can now invite other alliances to merge together.
Bugfixes:
- Some data were not updated correctly when switching towns;
- The delivery time displayed in own offers tab of the Market was wrong;
- Mythical units were not deleted when deselecting god in the simulator;
- Writing text in "Info about world wonder" window was moving the map;
- The militia could be regenerated after less than 3 hours in some cases;

- In some cases more than 300 battle points were required for next victory procession;

Version 2.50
On November 27th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.50.
Features/Changes:
- Players now should only receive one "construction queue" email until they login again once their construction queue is empty;
- Building notifications are now disabled by default.
Bugfixes:
- No email was sent when receiving a new in-game message;
- The amount of free population was not calculated correctly;
- In some cases the quick bar was not displayed properly after it had been edited;
- Attack and support commands were not clickable in the commands overview;
- The duration of the spell "Call of the Ocean" was not properly displayed;
- Deselecting a group didn't perform any action.
Version 2.49
On November 6th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.49.
Features/Changes:
- Navigation via browser back/forward function has been removed.
Bugfixes:
- A lot of bugs for the New User Interface have been fixed:
- The dropdown menu for premium list was disappearing when slowly mouseovered;
- Clickable items in the box below the quick bar were difficult to click;
- First city of the list was selected when switching cities in trade overview.
- Incorrect alliance forum message counter for kicked players has been fixed;
- The sorting by free population function did not work correctly in the premium recruitment overview;
- Island Quests were not accessible when using Internet Explorer;
- The position of culture points was wrong in the premium culture overview;
- Sometimes a scroll bar appeared in the "Spells" window;
- It was not possible to send support to own towns that would arrive after the start of the vacation mode.
App Bug Fixes:
- The CAPTCHA message was not completely displayed.
Version 2.48
On October 23rd 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.48.
Features/Changes:
- New User Interface: after several months of work together with the community and several weeks of test, polishing and improvements thanks to the feedback of many players, the new user interface is ready to be released! For record, here are its main characteristics:
- Optimized interface for our minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 px;
- Reorganized elements in a more logical and intuitive manner;
- Improved integration of the latest features, i.e. inventory, heroes, quests;
- Visually improved design of the interface.
- Removed the 7 days login bonus (players who acquired a population boost through that feature will still have it until the town gets taken);
- The challenging factor of the island quests has been reduced.
Bugfixes:
- Sometimes, the text displayed in the command overview was wrong when town foundations or sieges were sent;
- In some rare cases, players were not able to organize as many triumphs as they should;
Some players were not able to use the menu bar;
- The remaining duration of spells and effects was not decreasing correctly over the time.
Windows 8 App:
- The email address was not automatically validated after registering.
Version 2.47
On October 9th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.47.
Features/Changes:
- Added a "Mark as read" button for messages and reports. The button will mark all selected unread messages/reports as read;
- A lot of code has been cleaned up in order to improve performance and enlarge our possibilities in the future.
Bugfixes:
- The button "Move threads" had a wrong text ("0");
- When a forum was shared and hidden, the icons were misplaced;
- Some awards were not pushed correctly to the game;
- System message for sending request in reservation tool didn't consider the number of requests when there was only one;
- Filters for reports didn't work in own folders;
- There were some positioning of the windows when switching tabs;
- In some special cases, some players were missing in the hall of fame;
- In the reports, the button opening the simulator was not working;
- In the alliance window, world wonders tab, there was a progress bar displayed even if the world wonder was already level 10;
- Some files were missing on the servers;
- There was no delete button displayed for system messages;
- The favor tooltip was not updated;
- There was an inconsistent behaviour of the fields when editing the alliance authorizations;
- It was possible to cast any effect you like without being allowed;
- In some cases, players couldn't stop their vacation mode;
- The reserve town button was not displayed in the town info window;
- Resource and favor production spells were not calculated correctly;
- The scroll bar was missing when editing the alliance profile;
- Start dates of the worlds were wrong;
- The support screen had a scroll bar in some cases where it was not needed;
- You were not able to buy vacation days when you're account was on vacation mode;
- The unread messages/reports counter was not updated correctly;
- The reports filter was not working with endless scrolling;
- The reports filter was disappearing after deleting reports.
Version 2.46
On September 25th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.46.
Features/Changes:
- Zeus has been replaced with his new visual representation;
- Island Quest are now displayed in the Town list only if they are not accepted yet;
- Ongoing sieges are now distinguishable from take-over attacks in the Command overview;
- The Island Quests have been improved (challenges, calculations, current quests):
- The challenge factor is now multiplied by a factor that depends on the game stage;
- The needed points for each challenge factor have been rebalanced;
- Some quests have been rebalanced: some have new parameters and challenges.
Bugfixes:
- A small border surrounding the resource icons was missing in the market, create offer tab;
- The militia was automatically regenerated after ending of Trojan defense effect;
- The illustration used for the spies was not the same everywhere in the game;
- Some effects were not shown in published reports;
- Some spells were shown multiple times in published reports;
- The Quest window had a wrong size;
- Some parts of the user interface were missing under Internet Explorer 9;
- In the Senate, the button to upgrade the warehouse was active even if not enough resources were available.
Version 2.45
On September 11th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.45.
Features/Changes:
- Farm villages are now lost when the player get his last town conquered on an island;
- The default order for sorting towns in the recruitment overview has been changed from descending to ascending;
- Community requests:
- Added filter options for reports (Italian suggestion from eman1991);
- Added the name of the town being attacked in incoming attack notification (German suggestion from KrachBummEnte).
Bugfixes:
- It was not possible to cast more than two units production effects on the same town after refresh;
- The effect icon for units production in the recruitment overview was not correct;
- The progress bar displaying the maximum amount of resources per day when demanding or looting more resources than the maximum amount of resources per day is not working correctly;
- In some rare cases, the tutorial was asking players to loot a farm town even if the player didn't have any farm towns;
- The text of the tooltip over the gold button in the demolition queue was wrong;
- There was a response error when switching between towns very fast;
- The units withdrawn were appearing again in the troops outside overview when changing towns order;
- A space was missing between "Silver coins" and the values "(x/y)";
- Looted favour was not shown in the booty in command overview and command info;
- There were some synchronisation issues with the Heroic Tactician award;
- The description of the notification "Jinxed" was cut off;
- Two different pictures were used to represent spies in the game;
- Founding city reports showed wrong duration when playing on a world with foundation time other than 24h;
- Effect icons were duplicated in the city list when scrolling;
- City overview was coming to the foreground when switching towns;
- Button to summon Phoenician trader was too big with long town names;
- The progress bar of the world wonders screen was broken;

- A few localisation bugs have been fixed:
- The description for "Olympic sword" was confusing;
- Text in the help window for the recruiting overview was displayed partially and a comma was missing;
- There was a spelling mistake in rewarded effect for skipping the tutorial (relevant for Germany only);
- There was a spelling mistake in premium window, advantages tab (relevant for Germany only);
- Some effects rewarded from the island quest have a wrong description;
- The window "Settings" was triggered by the button "Options" in the menu bar which is not consistent.
- The close button in the takeover window had no function;
- The delete all notifications tooltip was not fully displayed;
- It was not possible to delete notifications with the "x" button;
- Changing thread properties was leading to endless loading;
- (De)selecting the option "check for new posts" in the alliance forum was leading to endless loading.
Version 2.44
On August 20th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.44.
Features/Changes:
- The top bar on the startpages have been exchanged with the InnoGames.com portal bar;
- The Facebook like button is now available in the login box on startpages;
- Community request: the travel and arrival time are now displayed when returning units partially in the new supporting units town info window.
Bugfixes:
- A few Grepolympia bugs have been fixed:
- The format of the effect duration for rewards was wrong;
- The title and the description of the Athletic Hoplite Racer award was wrong;
- Grepolympia was not accessible and not working properly on Internet Explorer.
- There were some synchronization issues with awards;
- While on the demolition tab, the senate was going back to the upgrade tab when activating the curator;
- Players were not correctly registered to the game when joining the game via invite feature;
- In some cases, the farm village was over someone's town on the map;
- Login via Facebook was not available;
- An attack from Island Quest could validate two open Island Quests at once;
- The algorithm picking random islands for Island Quests was not working correctly;
- There was a typo for demanding units in the farm villages;
- There was a typo in the Chariot Reinforcement reward for Island Quests;
- The error message displayed when a player tries to activate the same effect twice was wrong;
- In some cases the Island Quests window was not completely displayed;
- The farm village icon on the map was getting smaller when expanded instead of getting bigger;
- Failed town foundation was leading to wrong image in the command info screen, and details about units were missing;
- Closed worlds were still displayed in the worlds list;

- The recruit time for units was turning negative after using gold;

Version 2.43
On July 30th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.43.
Features/Changes:
- Changed the description of two effects you get in the island quests (recruit time and build time boosts);
- Community request: there is now an option to recall support from selected city in the town info window.
Bugfixes:
- Bot users were sometimes banned twice in a row for the same bot usage;
- Maximum amount of resources per day for the farm villages were not reset;
- It was possible to erect a building in demolish window;
- The Quest "Troop transporter" was not validating;
- Heightened Senses was not shown in all cities;
- Values were not fitting into the button in the spy window;
- Fixed issue where awards for one player are shown in another's profile;
- Fixed double global awards;
- Fixed massive amount of requests after unit order finished and quest satisfied;
- Fixed issues with invited players.
Version 2.42
On July 9th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.42.
Features/Changes:
- When sending an attack for an island quest, the report title now shows Quest town instead of Ghost town;
- When losing against an island quest attack the units only plunder resources now (it was plundering resources plus halving the storage before);
- It is no longer required to write a comment when sending feedback answers in the game;
- Added a new category of awards, Global Awards, displayed apart from World Awards. This category will be used for the Heroic Tactician award as well as new upcoming awards.
Bugfixes:
- In the conquest window, the five-digit numbers were not correctly displayed;
- Some popups were sometimes broken in the island quests;
- It was necessary to relogin in order to get island quests;
- In the recruitment overview, NaN building times and "No gold, no harbor" message was displayed even if the requirements were met;
- The performance of the game was reduced after sending many spies;
- The go to page button disappeared from the alliance forums;
- Town owner of ghost town were linked in reservation report;
- There was a map error stopping island quest creation on the islands;
- In some reports, the town owner name was missing;
- Wrong effect icons were sometimes displayed in the god overview;
- It was possible to cast spell on attacks from island quests;
- Spells and effects were sometimes not displayed anymore in the city list;
- The tooltips for effects were incorrect in the city list;
- Scrolling in the city list was not working properly;

- In some cases, multiple radial menu were open and it was not possible to get rid of them;

- It was not possible to change pages in the city list when a group was selected;
- It was not always possible to open the farm when the barracks or harbor were open;

Version 2.41
On June 18th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.41.
Features/Changes:
- The wall levels of the eighth farm village are now removed once the village has been conquered;
- A few changes have been made to the Island Quests:
- The spawn timers of the quests have been modified from 2, 3, 4 hours to 2, 4, 8 hours;
- The attack and defense boost rewards have been adjusted from 30% to 10% (attack) and from 30% to 5% (defense);
- The brothel has been replaced with a tavern in the corresponding quest.
- The spawn probability of storyline quests have been slightly adjusted to the spawn timers;
- Community request: added a spoiler bbcode for messages and alliance forums.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed some JS errors: 'Object' is undefined;
- It was not possible to move an alliance forum to the lowest position;
- Fixed several award synchronization issues;
- Fixed an issue where the cancel button was covered by the units list in the command overview;
- Option for resetting researches was disappearing upon research time reduction;
- Queue did not get updated automatically in the barracks;
- Sometimes the effects on a city were not displayed;
- Fixed a bug where an error message,"island quest expired", was appearing during rotating;

Version 2.40
On May 28th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.40.
Features/Changes:
- To make sure that updates of game state will reach the players browser correctly, only one tab per game account is allowed. If a second tabs gets opened the first one will be logged out:
- This only applies for one world. I.e. You could be logged into Alpha and Beta in two different tabs, but not Alpha in two different tabs.
- The beginners protection is showed as a power under the town name:
- You can now see a BP icon under your city name, just like you do when spells have been cast on your city.
- Players can now send mass-mails only after reaching more than 800 points in order to prevent server spam;
- Community request: ability to rename commands.
Bugfixes:
- When a player gets a new town, spells like favor boost or acumen were not applied to the new town;
- Command overview was showing commands that are not from current town group;
- Corrected some layout issues in the global settings of the landing page;
- The tabs in buildings were reset after switching towns;
- Alliance Conquests and Pact Events were in German;
- When using the mass recruit if current town didn't have a harbor, there was an error;
- There was a bug with plural and singular form of the chariot reward in island quests;
- Special building data were wrong in the building overview;
- Cancelling building demolition was sending wrong response message;
- Trojan defense applied to militia twice, it is now decreased correctly again after spell ends;
- The inventory was not reset after player restart;
- The In-Game announcements were not sorted correctly;
- Attack boost was not working on all units;
- Forced Loyalty was setting the mood to 100 before;
- When sending multiple colonization commands to found towns on multiple spots with only one free culture level left, the last command was starting the process instead of the first one.
Version 2.39
On May 7th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.39.
Features/Changes:
- Implementation of the Island Quests: New island quests will provide a versatile opportunity to face challenges and receive rewards while you are waiting for your buildings to upgrade and troops to be recruited for your next battles.
- Implementation of a First-7-Days Login Reward System: Your first 7 unique login days are rewarded with an extra bonus that will increase in quality every day you login.
- Implementation of our In-Game Survey Tool: The survey tool is an in-game feedback channels to direct your opinion and feedback directly to the Grepolis team. We will use this feature to create polls and surveys about new features, changes, and other interesting topics. Furthermore, we will also provide a monthly feature voting with 3 features for you to rate, so with this tool you will tell us which of those 3 features we will implement first.
- Added a confirmation window when deleting an item from the inventory.
- Improved behavior after clicking on an alliance pact invitation: the player will now be redirected to the correct window.
- Added additional information about how the satisfaction in the farm villages windows.
- From now on, the game will auto-scale the menu on the first login when playing on small screen resolutions.
- Modification of the breakthrough research: before, the strength reduction was only calculated if the attacker lost the fight. Now it is taken into account before the fight starts.
- Some community requests have been implemented into the game:
- Added the previous town owner name in the conquering log of alliances.
- Added the alliance rank on alliance profiles.
- Added the possibility to insert the maximum amount of available resources in the expansion window of the farm villages, by clicking on the resource icons.
Bug Fixes:
- The additional increase of favor while a bonus event was running was not displayed in the game.
- The level of the city wall was wrongly calculated in some special cases.
- The layout of the Premium windows was broken on Internet Explorer.
- It was not possible to search for ocean 0 in the rankings.
- Deleting or closing a thread in the alliance forum was bringing the user back to the first tab.
- The "Go to island" links were not working.
- Jumping to cities via ranking list was not working correctly.
- Message notifications in the menu were still displayed for messages received from blocked players.
- Opening the notification for Phoenician trader was not changing the town.
- Administrator banner is out of bounds in senate and town overview.
- There was a wrong value of lootable resources displayed in farms overview.

- Accepting a reward or using an item from the item shop could solve the quest "The Power of the Gods".
- After registering through the Windows Store app, the players didn't get any email with their password.
- Players weren't able to end their vacation mode if they didn't have any active world.
- The quest window was not updating the current state of the finished tasks even if the quest was not accepted.
- The size settings of the menu bar were no longer considered by the game.
Version 2.38
On April 16th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.38.
Features/Changes:
- Added a sound for incoming attacks.
- In the trade overview, towns can now be moved after setting them.
- The performances of the farm village overview, culture overview and cave overview have been slightly improved for players with many cities.
- Some of the community requests have been implemented into the game:
- Added a drop-down menu to quickly move messages to a selected folder.
- Shared connections are now shared between worlds.
Bug Fixes
- Fixes have been made to the live ranking.
- After a failed foundation, the place where the movement comes from is now correct.
- After skipping tutorial quests they couldn't appear later on anymore.
- Fixed some missing translations.
- When confirming the email address and getting gold, no report was sent to the player.
- A player that is already registered to a world could still receive invitation to that world.
- The date of the daily awards was shifted by one day.
- Menu bubbles were not updated correctly when sending back support troops.

Version 2.37
On March 26th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.37
Features/Changes:
- Added an inventory to the game (icon available at the top of the screen, next to the trade movements): in the inventory, you can store the rewards you get in the game (for example: from events like Easter), in order to use them whenever you want. A click on an item will give you the possibility either to use the item or to delete it. Most of the rewards affect the current selected city so make sure that your current selected city is correct.
- Added a new premium feature to the game: the building cost reduction: players can expand their building level with 25% resources discount for some gold.
- We have disabled the chrome's default "translate this page" toolbar on our game pages. Players can still translate the game by manually forcing chrome to do so.
- Many community requests have been implemented into the game:
- Added a research completion time tooltip in the academy.
- Added a favor completion time tooltip in the temple.
- Added a confirmation window when the player clicks on a notification that opens messages while writing a message.
- Added auto completion fields to player and alliance BBCodes.
- Added the player name next to the town name in Agora defense tab.
- Added search fields in the player/alliance sea rankings.
- Added ocean coordinates for each town in the player profile.
Bug Fixes
- Only non-flying units will return in a second command, if the first one has not enough ship-capacity.
- The egg count of the chicken coop and Easter shop pages do not differ anymore (relevant for beta only).
- The missing invitation spots directly after loading the game are displayed now.
- Completed unit orders were not deleted correctly from the frontend. Several changes to the backend were made to fix it.
- Message and alliance forum post counts were not updated correctly.
- No notification about a new post in the alliance forum is displayed anymore if a message is received.
- The message count of the menu bar is updated correctly if the message is read.
- The search in the command overview is reset successfully if the overview is reopened.
- Tool tip in fight report is changed to a more general text.
- The string for founding a city is now adjusted by a time variable.
- Eggs and gold refresh after item purchase (relevant for beta only).
- Catapults can decrease wall level by exactly one when Trojan defense is active.
- Fixed units in resurrection report.
- Fixed quest helpers (arrows, highlight) for IE8.
- Multiple quest helpers (arrows, highlight) adjustments for tutorial quests have been made.

- Reservation tool isn't working for some player: if you specify a two high amount of max days until it expires, you'll get a database error because the expire date is over the limit. We limit this now to 30 days.
- In the old conquer system, it was possible to activate a conquest without winning the sea fight.
- The premium confirmation was poping-up in Barracks (buy commander), even when the confirmation message was disabled.
- Player and alliance BBCodes were not consistent in terms of case sensitivity.
- In the culture overview, when starting all culture events they were always called "festivals".
- In curators overview, the mythical units of Artemis were displayed even on worlds were Artemis was disabled.

Version 2.36
On March 5th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.36.
Features/Changes:
- The sounds are now here! We have added different sounds in three categories: background music, sound effects and sound clicks!
- For iOS users, only simplified background musics have been added due to technical limitations;
- We have implemented a loading on demand system for the sounds, which means that only players who activated the sounds will load files.
- Several improvements to the quests have been made:
- The active quest (with displayed arrows / helpers) now has a "glowing frame" for easier recognition;
- It's now possible to abort a non-satisfied quest;
- Added a quests progress bar;
- Added a "fancy" animation after finishing the quest (in most cases - after collecting the quest reward);
- Added a new friend invite quest.
- Research description for "Conquest" with the Revolt command system has been changed;
- Slider changes are animated now, selecting a value by clicking on it has been improved;
- Players don't get reports any more if they unassign or delete their own reservations;
- Added opt out for emails "Your city misses you". Also added a couple of email switches in the global settings;
- Changed the Facebook Connect behavior on logout/login of the game. User will not be logged out from Facebook anymore, but have to do one click more to get logged in with Facebook;
- "All construction orders..." notification can now be turned off even if player has no Administrator enabled;
- Notifications are now always displayed on top of windows;
- A click on the Attack Planner notification will open the Attack Planner window with highlighted attack on the list;
- The font size of unit numbers is now decreased in case the number is bigger than the image.
Bugfixes:
- An incorrect transport capacity was displayed when sending units to a city on the same island: returning units within the same island did not return in one command;
- When "Wedding" was cast on a city on same island, 2000+ each resource was lost in some cases;
- The reservation icon in the Attack window has been fixed;
- Town god was shown in simulator when inserting values from spy report;
- The limit of the towns with the same name in the dropdown in Attack Planner has been increased from 9 to 30;
- The state of the button "Units in planned attacks" in Attack Planner was wrong;
- Moving a message did not work after sending a message in following cases:
- Players trying to reply to a message and wanted to move it afterwards;
- Players trying to forward a message and wanted to move it afterwards;
- Players were not able to delete a plan after sharing it;
- Fixed some problems with the colors on the map in some rare cases:
- When two accounts were played over the same computer/browser, they used the same colors;
- When using different browsers with one account sometimes the colors were not loaded properly.
- Arrows / helpers are now pointing to appropriate building extension button in the senate even if one can not yet build this building;
- Favor bar could under some circumstances exceed its limit (this was just a display bug);
- Fixed some localization problems;
- When changing god, the farm space used by mythical units was not set back;
- Wrong description in report for resurrection spell: if no units could be resurrected the text now says it instead of showing 0 units.
Version 2.35
On March 5th 2013, Grepolis was updated to version 2.35.
Features/Changes:

Bugfixes:
- Owner update in reservations: the reservation list always showed the owner from the time where the reservation was created. Now it shows the current owner;
- Fixed incorrect behaviour where alliances could see other alliances who had them marked as enemies;
- It was possible to conquer a town without attack ships in the new revolt battle system;
- Barracks design was broken, when needed resources for units had more then 6 chars;
- Fixed problem where text was broken when no spells were available;
- Fixed problem were a part of power description was hidden;
- Negative spell casting pop-up: when casting sea storm on an incoming attack, the wrong confirmation pop-up appeared;
- Transport capacity is now shown again in colonize dialog;
- Phoenician Trader gold confirmation is now adhering to the correct setting;
- Subject is no more a link in notification with no report;
- Circular menu did not work and was getting stuck on the maximized forum;
- Mass delete notifications didn't work in some cases;
- Troops refreshing after recalling support;
- Fixed loading bug were a javascript error pops up (WMap.mapTiles is undefined);
- Command overview displays further troop movements by mistake: in cases where two towns of the same player were involved in a command, the command was calculated twice;
- Battle points were not displayed on report when attacker won the battle: when players prevented a conquest successfully, the information about their earned battle points was missing;
- Ally forum "new post" notifications were being issued incorrectly: the bottom menu showed the wrong amount of new posts in some cases;
- Accepting own offers in market place used wrong delivery time: if players specified a maximum delivery time of 30 minutes, they couldn't accept the offer because. It was too far away in some rare cases, although the normal trade window showed it was possible;
- Shared attack-plans could be deleted by everyone who was entered in the right list: deleting plans is now only available for the creator of the plan;
- Users who got shared attack-plans have problems with editing plans: when adding new towns in a shared plan, the shared plans were not included in the drop-down list;
- In Phoenician Trader window, on big trading ratio for medusa there was a line break;
- The Chariot icon was missing in the menu of the Phoenician Trader;
- It was impossible to plan units in attack planer that are in movement;
- Tool-tip caption was cut off in Reservation Tool;
- Double requests issued from time to time in alliance window;
- Inserted defender units in simulator were getting lost when town is switched;
- Units travel time was not shown in Attack Planner;
- There was a wrong background in World Wonder ranking;
- Textures of world wonder was overlapping towns on the map;
- Wrong page was shown after opening the RT through the 'go to reservation tool' button in the town info window;
- Alliance limit was exceeded in one case;
- The progress bar of world wonders was not calculated correctly;
